2020 PGP SPONSORSHIP ANNOUNCED

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, has announced details for the opening of the 2020 Parents and Grandparents (PGP) Program, building further on the government’s commitment to reuniting families.

Canadians and permanent residents who wish to sponsor their parents and grandparents to come to Canada will have an opportunity to submit an interest to sponsor

Canada is also easing income requirements on family-class immigration applicants to allow people to sponsor their loved ones, even if they lost income due to coronavirus.

Parents and Grandparents, as well as other family-class immigration sponsors do not need to meet all the regular income requirements for the 2020 taxation year.
